Sometimes you may notice that Google Adsense shows blank spaces instead of Ads. It mainly happens on blogs/websites having multi languages. If google Adsense unable  to display ads for any reason it will display blank spaces. Adsense has an option called ‘Show other ads from another URL‘ to utilize the blank spaces. You can use affiliate ads as your backup ads.
When you create a new ad unit, you will find an option named Backup ads with default setting  ’Show blank space’. But it is better to use this space with affiliates ads to make some extra money. Now I will show you how to make a backup ads. To set up a backup ads you need to have URL link which contains your ads. How to Set Up Adsense Backup Ads:

At first login your cPanel and make a folder on your domain . Give a name of this folder like ‘ads’ . If your domain name is ‘www.domain.com’ then you can access that folder with ‘www.domain.com/ads’ . You can save your all backup ads on this folder. Now all you need to do is creating an ads in the same height and width as Adsense ads.
To create an ads make an empty  HTML file as ads_name.HTML . You can replace the ‘ads_name’ with another name for the ads. Now open the file paste the following code

Put your affiliate link and image source on the code and change height and width according to your ads. Once you have save the file you can check your ads on www.domain.com/ads/ads_name.HTML .
If everything is right then time to set up it as backup ads.


To setup backup ads login to your Adsense account. Edit the ad for which you want to set a backup ads. In Backup ads setting select ‘Show other ads from another URL’ . It will require a URL link .

Type www.domain.com/ads/ads_name.HTML  on the box. Click on Save and you are done.  It will take some time  to appear backup ads.
